RECONSTRUCTED TISSUES

In addition to its in vitro testing services, StratiCELL supports its customers in their research projects by providing them with in vitro reconstructed human tissues. The 3D Reconstructed Human Epidermis produced by StratiCELL replicates the 3D structure and function of natural human epidermis. They are ideally suited to study the physical and physiological reaction of the skin for early cosmetic and dermatological drug developments phases.

3D Reconstructed Human Epidermis (RHE) from StratiCELL are produced from human primary cells, on permeable 0.63 cm2 polycarbonate cell culture inserts at the air-liquid interface, allowing topical or systemic test item applications. Provided with (RHE-MEL) or without (RHE) human melanocytes, those skin models replicate the 3D structure and function of natural human epidermis.  They are ideally suited for research on the skin and its microbial environment.

  • RHE: Reconstructed Human Epidermis from Normal Human Epidermal Keratinocytes (NHEK).
  • RHE-MEL: melanized RHE, including Normal Human Epidermal Melanocytes (NHEM); various phototypes available.
  • Culture on a permeable 0.63 cm2 polycarbonate cell culture inserts.
  • Culture at the air-liquid interface in a serum-free adapted cell culture medium;  antibiotics/antimycotics-free environments also available.
